Ethic and probity
Since our beginning in 1972, our choices and enlightened daily decisions constitute our corporate culture and justify the confidence our clients have shown in us.
Our integrity and reputation regarding ethical matters are precious values for us and the rigorous application of our Code of Ethics is part of our Global Social Responsibility Policy implementation process.
This code is not only the foundation of our conduct in our business dealings but also in our relationships with our employees, directors, shareholders, clients, partners, suppliers and government authorities in Canada as well as abroad.
Several measures have been put in place to apply our Code of Ethics:
- All employees are trained so that they agree to diligently comply with our Code of Ethics;
- An Ethics Committee has been created and is chaired by an external and independent member of the Board of Directors. This Committee has the mandate to review and evaluate the implementation of the Code of Ethics within the Company;
- In line with the best governance practices and in accordance with the Code of Ethics, The SM Group inc. has implemented a reporting process and an ethic line to report situations that are non-compliant to the Code of Ethics.
