Bangladesh’s most important private company Beximco mandates SMi for their new, up and coming pharmaceutical complex

Beximco, the most significant private company in Bangladesh and encompassing Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited Division, exports pharmaceutical products in more than 45 countries around the world. SMi’s specialists are renowned for their expertise in mechanical engineering, and this is exactly why Beximco chose SMi to provide them with the best and most cutting-edge cleanroom design for their new pharmaceutical complex in Saudi Arabia.

More specifically, this mandate requires SMi to manage and approve Class A to D (ISO 5 to ISO 8) cleanroom design whereby they guarantee conformity with the highest industry standards of parameter: temperature, humidity, pressure, filtration, and in particular the parameters of air quality with airborne particle control, according to each class.

As a refresher, a cleanroom can be one room or a series of rooms where the concentration of particles is controlled in order to minimise the introduction, generation, and retention of particles inside, thus limiting all contamination.

SMi’s team of specialists have even gone to Dhaka, in Bangladesh, to see the installation sites at Beximco’s pharmaceutical factory, which will look a lot like the future Jubail factory once completed. This visit allowed SMi to pin point the client’s exact needs, help start the project off on the right foot and help the installation process go as smoothly as possible.
